This Privacy Policy describes how VKRY Innovations Lab Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares your personal information when you use our website (jyotishpuraan.com), mobile applications, and the ChitraGupt AI Agent service (collectively, the "Platform").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and all applicable data protection laws in India.

• Google account details (if you use Google Sign-In: name, email, profile picture)
• Account creation date and last login date
• Subscription plan and status

2.4 Payment Information

Transaction details, order ID, payment method, and amount. Payment information is processed by Razorpay. We do NOT store your credit card or debit card details.

2.5 Usage and Interaction Data

• Chat history with ChitraGupt AI Agent
• Astrological queries and questions asked
• Birth charts generated
• Features accessed and pages visited

3. Legal Basis for Processing (DPDP Act Compliance)

3.1 Consent

By creating an account and providing your birth details, you give explicit, informed, and freely given consent for us to process your personal data to provide astrological services. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

3.2 Contractual Necessity

Processing of your data is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you under our Terms and Conditions, including generating birth charts, providing AI consultations, and processing payments.

3.3 Legal Obligation

We retain payment records for 8 years to comply with the Income Tax Act, 1961 and Companies Act, 2013 requirements for tax audit and financial record-keeping.

4. How We Use Your Data

4.1 Service Delivery

• Generate your Horoscope (Kundli) and astrological birth charts
• Provide personalized astrological insights through ChitraGupt AI
• Calculate Dashas, Yogas, and planetary positions
• Offer daily, weekly, and monthly horoscope predictions based on your Moon sign

4.2 Account Management

• Create and maintain your user account
• Authenticate your login via email or Google OAuth
• Store your consultation history and chat records

4.3 Payment Processing

• Process subscription payments and one-time session purchases
• Generate invoices and payment receipts
• Manage subscription renewals and cancellations

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 Essential Cookies

• Authentication tokens (JWT) stored in browser localStorage to keep you logged in
• Session tokens for secure communication between your browser and our servers

5.2 Analytics Cookies

• PostHog (EU-hosted): We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog respects browser "Do Not Track" settings.
• Google Analytics (may be used in future): To track website traffic and user behavior patterns
• Meta (Facebook) SDK (Android app): Collects your device's advertising identifier and app-activity events (such as app installs and app opens) and shares them with Meta Platforms, Inc. for advertising measurement and analytics. See Section 7.1.

You can control cookies through browser settings. Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser to opt out of PostHog analytics.

6. Data Storage and Cross-Border Transfer

6.1 Primary Data Storage Location

User accounts, birth charts, chat history, and consultation records are stored on Google Cloud Platform servers located in the United States (Iowa region). Our hosting infrastructure is operated through Emergent, which uses Google Cloud Platform data centers.

6.2 Analytics Data Storage

Product analytics data is stored on PostHog servers located in the European Union (EU).

6.3 Payment Data Storage

Payment records and transaction details are stored and processed by Razorpay within India, in compliance with RBI regulations.

6.4 Data Transfer Safeguards

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Encryption at Rest: Your data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption on Google Cloud Platform servers.
• Access Controls: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate need can access your personal data.

By using our Platform, you consent to the transfer of your personal data to the United States and European Union as described above.

7. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We never sell or rent your personal data. The only advertising-related sharing is the Meta (Facebook) SDK described in Section 7.1, through which we share your device's advertising identifier and app-activity events with Meta for advertising measurement and analytics — never your birth data or consultation history.

7.1 Advertising and Analytics (Meta / Facebook SDK)

Our Android app uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the performance of our advertising and to understand how people find and use our app. Through this SDK, we collect and share with Meta Platforms, Inc. your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID) and app-activity events (for example, app installs and app opens). This data is used for advertising and marketing measurement and analytics — to attribute installs to our ad campaigns and to improve those campaigns. We do not sell this data. Meta processes it in accordance with the Meta Privacy Policy. You can limit ad tracking at any time from your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Delete/Reset advertising ID, or Opt out of Ads Personalisation).

Payment Security

Payment processing is handled by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant and RBI-authorized. We do not store your credit card details.

Right to Access

Request a summary of personal data we hold about you. Email us at support@jyotishpuraan.com with subject "Data Access Request".

Right to Correction

Update your information through account settings or contact us.

Right to Erasure (Data Deletion)

Delete your account via Account Settings → Delete Account. Type "DELETE" to confirm. All data is permanently deleted immediately. Exception: Payment records retained for 8 years for tax compliance.

Right to Data Portability

Download your birth chart and reports in PDF format via your dashboard.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Unsubscribe from marketing via email links or delete your account for all data processing.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is accessible to users of all ages. Users under 18 should use the service under parental supervision. Parents may contact us at support@jyotishpuraan.com to delete their child's data.

With your consent, we may send promotional communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or push notifications. Opt out anytime via unsubscribe links or account settings.
